Very scary stuff for someone who lives in the middle of a warm ocean during hurricane season. Or in this particular case, in New Orleans.
I taught Revelation this morning and I was having a difficult time getting across the impact of the destruction brought by the 7 trumpets, etc. I guess I just should have told them to turn on the news tomorrow morning.
Hurricanes scare me, but they also bring me a fresh reminder about the power and greatness and general awesomeness of God. The other thing that consistently reminds me is seeing those 30 foot winter waves on the North Shore. The only thing you can say is "Wow."
