Transformers/Outdoor water party summary:

The daddies both had to work.
The mommies got wet, and we fired back in kind. I have excellent aim.
The kids got into multiple, tearful arguments regarding who was allowed to shoot who with the water guns.
The tent broke.
The babies got covered in wet sand from the sand and water table. They loved it.
The pinata refused to break and had to be brutally torn into by adult hands.
The goody bags were a hit.
The weather was cloudy and a bit chilly.
The slip n slide caused slips but it would not provide slides.
The Costco cake wasn't ready for pick up at the appointed time.
The present haul was impressive by kid standards, overkill by Mom standards.
The food was good.
The birthday boy sliced his finger open on the slide.
The yard got plenty of water.

Josh summed it up his own way: This was the BEST birthday party ever!

There were definite hitches, but the two birthday boys had a great time. When the dust settled, they were exhausted and happy. I'm declaring a success.
