Celebrity Bashing (I do occasionally indulge)

There is an old episode of Friends in which the character Joey attempts to write a "smart" letter by frenetically using the thesaurus function on his word processor. For some reason, this episode immediately sprang to mind when I read this.

In this case, however, the author seemed to think that a combination of inane observations, "big" words and dreadful metaphors was the best recipe for this rather disturbing tribute.
