Daddy is funny

A couple of weeks ago there was a big fuss around here when the state's beloved college football team, the UH Warriors, was assessed a 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct before a game with Louisiana Tech. Their crime was performing a tradition UH dance called the "haka" during pregame.

Officially, the little dance violated WAC policy regarding attempts to intimidate the other team. Local talks show hosts got a big kick out of making fun of the league over what they considered a ridiculous penalty. But I think my Dad summed it up the best.

"If the other team is intimidated by a dance then they should think about playing a different game. Like jacks."
